Network Marketing Success – Motivating Factors, Part 1

Picture

You probably found this article because you are involved in some type of network marketing, and one of your major aims is to make money. Right? If so, please read on.

If you have read some of my other articles, you will observe that I attach a great amount of importance on the reason for doing things, i.e. 'why'. If you are not achieving quite the desired network marketing success you have in mind, I'd recommend that you re-evaluate your way of thinking and get your proverbial house in order.

Keep in mind that every game involves a 'mind-set' and a 'skill-set'. Both are crucial. But in marketing, as in basketball, tennis, rugby, golf and most other sports, it is the mind-set that separates the 'men from the boys'. For everything we do, whether making a cup of tea or making a seven-figure income, there is a motivation, or a 'motive' for 'action'.

Upon closer inspection we can actually observe two sub-classes of motivators, viz. those moving us away from pain or discomfort, and those moving us towards reward or pleasure. I don't think we should dwell too much on the negative issues, as these could act as inappropriate instructions to our subconscious minds if we dwell on them for too long. On the other hand it is actually good to experience some disgust and say "Enough is ENOUGH! No more of this!"

So, in the remainder of this article, we will focus briefly on the negatives. If you are unsure of what these are, let me give you some examples:

-   Are you lacking sufficient free time?

-   Can you afford to retire right now (ideally before age 40)?

-   Is the Internal Revenue Service on your tail?

-   Are you being pursued by the 30-day paycheck monster?

-   Is there a possibility you could be made redundant at work?

-   Do you have to forfeit contact time with your loved ones due to work reasons, or an inability to travel?

-   Do you hate commuting?

-   Are you sitting in a car for several hours every day?

-   Do you detest having to answer to a boss?

-   Does the pittance you receive as a wage or salary disgust you?

-   Does it irk you to know that there are people in their twenties making in excess of $100,000 a MONTH on the Internet?

-   Is it years since you could last afford a decent vacation?

-   Do you have insufficient funds for pursuing expensive hobbies?

-   Are you disgusted with your tacky wardrobe?

-   Can you afford extensive International travel?

-   Can you afford expensive dental procedures such orthodontics if required?

 -   Can you afford the cost of keeping your body in tip-top shape with supplements and gym membership?

-   If you or your spouse are over 50 - can you afford some much needed makeovers?

I could entertain you for another five minutes, but I think you've got the idea. In short: if you cannot do what you want, when you want, where you want, with whom you want to, for as long as you want to, then you have reason to feel despondent. Society has played a very nasty trick on you by making you believe this is inevitable. That's a big lie!

Network marketing is one solution to this dilemma, if you do it right, because the financial barrier to entry is relatively low. But if you really want network marketing success in a very short time, you must go for it flat-out (there's a steep learning curve), which means your motivators (your 'why') must be in overdrive. Moving away from stuff you despise is one side of the picture.  In my next article I will show you the other half of the equation.

In the meantime please make a list of all the cr*p as outlined above, solemnly declare to yourself that E-N-O-U-G-H- I-S- E-N-O-U-G-H,  then join me here so we can start looking at the positive stuff.
